A Resolution to Give Back
I’ve been a software developer for several years and I can honestly say that my professional life (and I am sure my personal life) would be a great deal more difficult had it not been for the incredible development communities that I frequent.
The countless hours on Stack Overflow and the ASP.NET Forums and the millions of blogs all across the web have helped answer many of my questions from in-depth discussions on architecture and design to minor things like missing semicolon.
I have learned so much from all of these communities and I have to thank everyone that has ever assisted me either by answering a question or just being a someone to bounce ideas off of.
It's never to late to start something.
This is why I am setting a personal goal to contribute more to the communities that have helped me along the way by spending my extra time throughout this year answering questions, writing blog posts and helping those that are occasionally stuck as I have been many times before. I hope that it will not only help a few developers out there that may have hit a wall, but I am sure that it will also be a great learning opportunity for me as well.
I know it’s already February, but it’s never too late to start something.
